Programme

Between January and June 2011 journalists specialized in the food and wine sector (one for each country) will be invited to participate at an Educational Study Tour in each of the Italian regions involved in the program, and they will be guided through educational visits at the major factories of greater excellence and innovation.

Two separate workshops held between 8th and 11th of March, one dedicated to  the wine industry and the other to the food sector will enable Scandinavian commercial operators  to meet Italian companies.

ICIF -Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners based in Asti in Piemonte will arrange training courses and cooking shows for sixteen chefs and twenty four teachers from Scandinavian hotel management institutes.The courses are designed to strengthen the understanding of the nutritional qualities of Italian products and their value in authentic Italian recipes.

Sixteen professional Scandinavian sommeliers will be invited to participate in refresher courses to increase their knowledge of the principal wines from each of the regional partners, their organo-leptic qualities and their suitability with specific Italian dishes.
