The second courses for scandinavian chefs and sommeliers are concluded

The second training courses reserved to chefs, teachers from Scandinavian hotel management and sommeliers are concluded.

The courses where held from the 9th to the 17th of june at ICIF, Institute of Cuisine, Culture and Oenology of the Regions of Italy.

The courses for chefs and teachers are designed to strengthen the knowledge of the Italian products nutritional qualities applied in genuine Italian cuisine recipes. The training for sommeliers aims to enhance their expertise of some major regional Italian wines taking into account their organoleptic qualities and their suitability with specific Italian dishes.

The training repeated the same concept experienced during the first course (11-19 April 2011) with theoretical classes, technical and application lessons and visits to the companies operating in the territory of the partner regions. Nineteen companies participating in the program have also provided cooking classes and wine tastings with their products.

During the courses, participants had the opportunity to improve their knowledge of Italian products quality by visiting outstanding factories within the five Regions participating in the project

The above-mentioned courses were organized by ICIF-Italian Culinary institute for Foreigners in Asti, Piedmont Region, Italy.
